this is so a few weeks ago, but I just found out about this
There are close to 100k employees/contractors (with a number being us citizens) stuck aboard these cruise ships
https://abcnews.go.com/US/90000-cruise-ship-crew-members-stuck-sea-amid/story?id=70057005My disgust for the industry (and honestly the people who use these) is pretty high.
But I do feel for these employees
Saw this and just kinda blew me away.
I have a dancer friend that works on a Royal Caribbean ship. He has been stuck on the ship for 64 days. They won’t let crew members off. The U.S. Consulate can’t help. They denied entry in Shangai, South Korea, Manila, Hong Kong. Everyone is healthy. Company severed his contract. On a side note....a great Twilight Zone episode would be
Julian, on a dare from some internet forum, get's passage on the Frank Turner 3 day cruise...then Covid-19 happens and he's stuck there for 6 months...someone finish this story
