Live music is back!
It was a two "show" weekend for us.
Friday evening: Jazz at a nearby vineyard, patrons far apart from one another, masks when interacting with staph, picnic supper, a better than expected Maryland "Albarino," and some delicious locally sourced ice cream for dessert.
Sunday evening: Girlfriend's daughter playing and singing on the front porch at home, family and neighbors listening on the lawn.

You got some hardcore catching up to do if you’re going to break 100 this year!

Will be satisfied to get to 20. Was at 15 at the time of the rapture.

July 17 GBV show $20 (advance)

I’ll have to seriously consider this one although the timing is kind of tricky at 5 pm

9 pm would have been fantastic

Can one last minute decide with these shows, or can they reach capacity and sell out?

Would think that's impossible with the internet.
but possibly the Host may have some limitations to ensure quality?

I wonder if that GBV stream will be available after the event... Some of these do leave them up for awhile.

The Magic Numbers did their first album last night but it will be available for a couple months.

Ken Stringfellow is doing one July 25th

So I finally got an update on my SeetGeek purchase.
I'm not getting a cash refund, but credit for upcoming purchase with a 10% bump

As we’re sure you’re aware by now, Clem Snide with Scott Avett has been canceled due to an abundance of caution regarding the coronavirus. ..., our Buyer Guarantee is designed to put our fans first

The good news is that your purchase, like every purchase on SeatGeek, is covered by the SeatGeek Buyer Guarantee. You originally paid $86 for your tickets. Since your purchase was covered under our guarantee, we’ve applied a credit of 110% of your original order amount, or $94 total, in the form of a promo code on your SeatGeek account

That code is yours to use toward any SeatGeek purchase in the next 12 months.

I hope we are back to concerts in 12 months

The Avett bros are going to have a three day run at the wolf trap (this weekend in 2021)
so to get to see him at the Birchmere was going to be a treat
I think the face value was $50
So $36 didn't seem that much of a premium to get into a sold-out show

Plus I've been a clem snide fan since the 90s and was very excited for this

But you wouldn’t pay for New Order and Pet Shop Boys!!! In fact you acted indignant that I tried to get you to do so...that I gave you a tip on getting a pit ticket!!! And even though I have gotten you your share of free tickets!

I think it would be poetic justice if you never got your money back!!

So....
1. There are very few acts that would get me to go to MPP or any venue over 6k people
2. I don't do Wed shows at MPP
3. It was like $175 for a pit ticket and money was pretty tight at that time (I don't go into debt for concert tickets)
4. I don't really like PSB that much, can't say I hate them like Coldplay, but would probably be the 457th pick of shows to go to
5. I just saw an awesome New Order show at the Anthem about a year ago, so if I hadn't seen them in a decade, I would have probably gone to this
6. While I'm VERY grateful for the free tickets I've received from your good graces...not sure why that would compel me to spend $175 to go to this show.  It's not like you don't go to shows solo all the time
7. $86 <<< $175

Ugh... pit tickets were $125 not $175...

You literally pleaded poverty...but $86 for Clem Ok

You might have thought “Sure would be fun to go with Hutch...we had a good time from the pit at the Cure! We were so close! Hutch will surely drive”

But you didn’t..you actually responded like kind of upset I would suggest it

Whatevs..no biggie..noted though
