Now we have details...
Direct payments: Americans will receive a one-time direct deposit of up to $1,200, and married couples will get $2,400, plus an additional $500 per child. The payments will be available for incomes up to $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for married couples. This is true even for those who have no income, as well as those whose income comes entirely from non-taxable, means-tested benefit programs, such as Social Security.
Obviously some of the means-tested stuff is not in here
So since most of you live in the DMV and top these caps...likely getting very little
But you likely have a mortgage?
The bill would allow homeowners with federally backed mortgage loans to request loan forbearance—that is, delayed payment—for an initial period of 180 days, and that forbearance could be extended for another 180-day period if necessary.
Although, technically this is not a 'deal' at all, just pushes out payments without penatiles, but you still cover the interest crrued durring that time...Meaning, overtime you spent more money to get that 6 month break. But six months of not paying your mortgage would likely help people create a nice nest egg/saftey net or pay down other high interest loans
Hopefully not create a rush to by a new Harley or SeeDoo
