Researchers from The Institute for the Scientific Study of Human and Non-Human Phenomena were called to investigate the strange phenomenon of Edyta Urbanyk-Forstin of Krakow, 1953. Edyta, an "attractive girl of 18 years," had reported a sexual attraction to potatoes for six years. Institute scholars were only called in
after two exorcists determined that no demonic interference was present. Although appearing staged, this photograph of her delighted naked wallowing in a Krakovian potato-bin was quite candid and random. Freudian psychoanalysts argued that her early attraction to potatoes resulted from overexposure in the aftermath of the Second World War. Happily Edyta was taken out of the miserable conditions of Communist Poland and married an Institute investigator. Their sex life was rumored to be highly unusual
