I mean this shit is the same in any Arab country. People have no rights…there is no democracy and women and gay people are treated like shit. The US does business with them regardless cause it has no choice.

Liberals remind me of the French inspector in Casablanca “I am shocked to find gambling is going on here.”

Comical watching Ronaldo trying to take credit for a teammate’s goal. What an a-hole.

At least he didn't rape anyone in the process.

Stolen from Twitter:

Quote
Problem with the USMNT is that everything that surrounds them from the vocal former players, fans, all the way to the songs and the whole “it’s called soccer” shtick is so unbearably dorky

American nationalism is already for dweebs but then you put it through a sport where they have an inferiority complex, you get shit like Lalas being a prominent personality and “I believe that we will win” as a chant

This articulates this better than I ever could. Want to like EPL? Not my thing but more power to you. Stan-ing the USMNT and dressing up like a founding father whose at the forefront of a revolution of a small plucky nation? Enormous loser.

I mean, you're being sarcastic but yes, actually? This country mostly sucks. Its creation narrative is lame and made up. People who collect American Revolution memorabilia are giant dorky losers.

People who then try to copy this iconography like it tells some story about how Christian Pusilic is the second coming of Jesus Christ (as opposed to maybe the 80th best soccer player on Earth?) brought here to lead a plucky bunch of upstart soccer players -- who have one of the wealthiest federations in the sport, by the way, but prattle on -- to a victory for overlooked edgelords everywhere are dorky losers squared. Like this is all very stupid. Flag waving and draping yourself in the stars and stripes is fuckboi behavior; doing it for Landon Donovan and the perception of the MLS is incredibly cuck behavior.

The Brit dudes who dress up like its the Crusades and yell "ITS COMING HOME" are also losers; this is not US specific. I mean, yes, the USMNT fanhood is a particularly toxic set of dweebs who no reasonable person could wish a second of joy in their miserable dork lives, but they're not alone.

Mexico 🇲🇽 O U T out

I feel like if the US plays well they have a chance with Netherlands. I wonder how many of the eight round of 16 games will be decided by penalty kicks. Hoping no more than two.

Wow Belgium….

What a shame for Kevin DeBruyne

No way you can convince me Morocco is more than Belgium…really helped by Canada keeper’s gift of a goal

Shows how pointless FIFA rankings are…

Belgium 2
Italy 6
Denmark 10
