I feel like since this moment this became the GOP philosophy and there is no government program that should not be dismantled (regardless of if it helps)

trump's trade war is showing early signs of capitulation.  Big Auto has forced trump to declare a "one month pause" for tariffs on cars and auto components.

ever the deal-maker, trump asked for reciprocal tariff relief from canada - and canada said no.  canucks wants all tariffs removed, not small carve-outs.  canadians are sowrry not sowrry.

all sorts of talk out there about countries no longer trusting the US to honor weapons contracts, so arms buyers are looking for alternatives.  that's billions in sales per year. 

trump just cost the US billions more in lost arms sales.  in addition to cutting off all aid to ukraine, he also ordered a stop to all intelligence sharing.  that includes access to the satellite data required for HIMARS rockets.  buyers are now concerned that even if they pay for a weapons system, they'll continuously over a barrel because of ongoing dependency on american inputs.  once the world saw how effective HIMARS was in Ukraine, orders for the system pilled up.  last i heard there was a 4-year waiting list to get HIMARS (and the factory in Arkansas that makes them is working 3 shifts around the clock).  that waiting list is coming down as countries cancel their orders.  maybe the fine folks in Camden, AR will appreciate the option of less overtime?  more free time to savor all the winning!

if the people who are supposed to stop this are all bending a knee in fealty, who would hold this hearing?
dems could do it on the mall?

(on paper, they have the power, but how important are laws when king cheto is in power)
