Didn't you go already to see the last World Cup? If so, I would certainly try to see one final of the Champions League, the atmosphere in those games is much better than in the Euro or World Cup.

It's kind of a long trip for one game.  But if United makes a Champ's League final, I'll get over there.
 
 That's why these Euro/World tourney's are great - a ton of games scattered throughout a dozen or so cities.  It's a combination of a lot of football and a touring vacation.

so that fulham/darby match i went to on saturday predictably ended 0-0. a little disappointing, especially because the rugby final later that night was pretty much a snoozer, too. but fulham's got a nice stadium, that's for sure. depressing week for english sports while i was over there between the rugby loss, the loss to russia and hamilton's F1 letdown. they even planned a parade and everything.
 
 and back to that england/russia match, that sure was one awful call on the rooney foul. i watched it from in one of the many ladbroke's all around. so much gambling...

yeah, berbatov looked like he was going to explode. i remember last year reading that he grew up wearing a newcastle shirt and patterned his game after shearer and looks forward to playing against the toon. so he gets benched. yikes
