HOW TO WRITE ONE SONG
New book by Jeff Tweedy, available October 13th

“The feeling I get when I write—the sense that time is simultaneously expanding and disappearing—that I’m simultaneously more me and also free of me—is the main reason I wanted to put my thoughts on songwriting down in book form to share with everyone so inclined.” - Jeff Tweedy

If you liked Jeff's best-selling memoir, Let's Go (So We Can Get Back), you're gonna love this. How To Write One Song is a conversational guide on loving the things we create. Jeff offers actionable tips on: overcoming the negative voice inside your head, playing with language, recording methods, building a creative schedule, and more.

Inspiration and motivation awaits. Preorder now.

I am telling you, even if you read it already, I highly recommend the audiobook
Jeff is a great storyteller and his comic timing is on point
was like being in the room and he was just telling you the story

176 pages....

I mean if it was Hemingway it would be cool but...

Going to have to wait til I find it used

The autobiography is fantastic

I continue devouring Carl Hiaasen books..only five or so more to go...currently on Basket case...about the murder of former rockstar frontman for the Slut Puppies..Hiaasen puts me more in touch with the average American

Is the Tweedy autobiography available as an audiobook?

We're going on a long ass car ride tomorrow and my wife and daughter both hate my music.

I don’t get the whole Trump books cottage industry...

Are people interested in reading these masochists?

Are people interested in reading these masochists?
likely.  Although some authors have a lot more credibility than others.
I think it's good to have documents, so when the archeologists are trying to figure out what went wrong, there will be a roadmap

I just finished the Mark Lanegan book, Sing Backwards and Weep. Highly recommend. A tough read, especially if you love someone who has/had a heroin addiction, and a necessary one.
