SCANDAL IN THE VINYL WORLD!!!

How a Phoenix record store owner set the audiophile world on fire
MoFi Records claimed its expensive reissues were purely analog reproductions. It had been deceiving its customer base for years.

this whole fiasco is a huge indictment of vinyl-fetishists and analog-only-junkies.  MoFi had been hailed as "proof" that pure analog was better.  purists bought and listened to MoFo reissues on hugely expensive stereo systems... and no one noticed it wasn't pure analog.  in other words, they couldn't tell the difference.  the emperor is naked, and he's showing his ass to his followers.
