How was the Van Morrison show? I had a ticket, but I couldn't go.

One-sentence weekend reviews:
Tracy Chapman was a snoozefest with the exception of a couple bluesier numbers but that was to be expected.

Skygreen Leopards were a big disappointment but the band who played before them, Oblisk, who I'd never heard of were impressive.

Mos Def went on only half an hour late and killed it; too bad I only caught the 2nd half of the show due to standing through  that
letdown of a Skygreen set.

Screen Vinyl Image did their usual dancegaze thing.

Rest of week:
either Espers/KV or De La Soul
Cyndi/Rosie
Trash Can Sinatras
Robert Gordon
either Bat for Lashes or Phish
Woods
death from exhaustion

I'm going to the Pretenders.

I hope Cat Power has improved a lot since the last time I saw her (2001 or 2002 in Argentina) she seemed to have a nervous breakdown...

I saw her at the club in February.

She sounded...uhh...faded.

How late did Mos Def's set go? I left around Midnight, a few songs after he did 'Definition'

A nervous breakdown would've been more entertaining than that set she played in february.

She sounds great on record. That faux blues/lifeless "I want to appear as though I've just shot the biggest dose of heroin possible without dying" thing she's been doing lately is dreadful, though.

I'm definitely going to this show to see the Pretenders and in spite of Cat Power being on the bill!

Her concert in Buenos Aires remains the worse show I have ever seen... It was pitiful!

Crusted Poop at the Electric Factory comes in second....

Played it lame and skipped both shows tonight (Espers/KV and De La). How were they?
