My track record of reunion shows has been pretty good. The only one that immediately comes to mind as being offensively bad is Bad Brains and that was just because of HR.

Sunn 0))) last night were good but we really did not need 90 minutes of that. They should have wrapped it up with the Attila section. Pretty sure all of us in the room had gotten the point by about then. His presence was a nice surprise.
The feeling as they ended was like nothing I had experienced prior. Felt as though I was floating for a good minute after.
I still say My Bloody Valentine wins as far as intense live experiences go, however.

How could you have expected more than bad from that?

They are OK. But Shannon was such an integral part of the band.

I'm pretty sure I went because I got in for free ... but I really can't remember why I went.. I don't even like Blind Melon all that much... Anyways, it wasn't all that good is what I'm saying

I love reunion shows generally..Not sure why people have such problems with them......

I don't have a problem with reunion shows, I just haven't seen a lot of good ones. Urge Overkill were a good example of a big disappointment. With albums of can't-miss hits like Saturation and Supersonic Storybook, they opened with two mid-tempo songs that the crowd (and I) weren't familiar with before breaking out Positively Bleednig, which made the crowd go nuts. Then it was another group of new, mid-tempo songs and the energy in the room just died.

First time I saw X's reunion shows (with the Fags opening), they were so good. High energy, sounded great, excellent show. But then a year later (with Rollins Band opening, who were great), they were terrible, with Exene phoning it in so hard it was pathetic.

But then Scratch Acid came and obliterated my expectations. Goddamn that was a good show.

Did not know that, though like I said, she was great a year or so beforehand.

My sister has it and it can just eat your muscles away.. its horrible. And when you're going through a bad spell it can be awful while when you're feeling OK it can be fine... I'm not sure how much her MS has progressed..

I was going to post similar wrt the live experience. I remember reading on here a few years ago about how seeing MVB was so great b/c of the "brain massage", volume, intensity. I'm not a a fan of MVB, I actually think the blow, but always assumed seeing Sunn O))) would be a similar  sonic experience and it was...and it was awesome.

What time did it end? At 11 I grabbed that limited edition vinyl and headed home.

Sunn 0))) last night were good but we really did not need 90 minutes of that. They should have wrapped it up with the Attila section. Pretty sure all of us in the room had gotten the point by about then. His presence was a nice surprise.
