By the mall The Food  Market is really good and Dak Khao in Merriweather District is one of my favorite restaurants if you like Thai food.

King Gizz
Neil... hey Jules, any restaurant recs walking distance to the amphitheater?

Thanks Cock, but I'm referring to the amphitheater in Richmond.
There's nothing super close. If you're willing to walk 0.5-1 miles, I'd look at Juleps / Wong Gonzalez / La Grotta or any of the places near the symphony hall for a nice meal.

Penny Lane Pub, Patio Thai or Cafe Rustika are spots on the cheaper side but will give you good+ food (Penny Lane is kinda mid) plus cheap drinks at a decent price.

Thanks!! Saw a few of those places... also saw something about Fall Line Kitchen bar. Unfortunately a few of the great spots were closed on Sundays.

Fall Line Kitchen and Bar is in a Marriott. I'd pass on that. Going to pay a ton of $$ for food that isn't even as good as the cheap places I listed.

90+% of BONVOY properties are owner-operated; few are corporate-owned. I assume you are making reference to my spokesmanship for MERRIWEATHER LAKEHOUSE, which does not extend to other properties under the Marriott banner.

Any reports about me entering a similar arrangement with the JW Marriott in Cannes or Cotton House in Barcelona are premature.

If I wore any more hats, I’d need a full time haberdasher on staff.

Which I have.

Adrian Quesada’s Boleros Psicodélicos

Really looking forward to this one, didn’t think I’d get to hear these songs live so going to be fun one.  And the second album of these Boleros are as good if better then the first one.  Curious as to how many different singers he brings along.

In a former life I’d try to swing The Velveteers the next day, but alas..

I'll be at Adrian Quesada.

Kosmo, say hi if you recognize me after all these years.

Hutch, it just seems like we'll never meet!

Is this just by chance or very careful planning?

It’s been a long time since we attended same show but in the olden days Space would post after shows that he’d seen me but not said hi.

I think our musical tastes have diverged a bit and we don’t go to that many shows anymore? Although September is going to be crazy for me with six shows.

I think I saw someone once or twice who met your self-description (tall, thin, dark hair, Jeff Goldblum looking, carrying a tote bag full of albums for artist to sign)  who I thought maybe that's Hutch but I'll feel like an idiot if I walk up to him and say "Hi are you Hutch" and having him say no... Turned out it probably was you.

I've been to Kosmo's freaking house and I don't know if I'd be able to pick him out in a crowd. Maybe a small club like Pearl Street I will.

I have this show and possibly one other later this month. Though my wife is making me feel terrible for going to a show the week we bring our kid to college. I did beg both of them to go to the show with me...so not sure if our tastes diverged or if I just don't go to as many shows are some boardies (my wife tells me live music is a waste of my time so my one or two a month are still contentious business.)
