Maybe not. He was supposed to sing the Anthem at a Sox game earlier in the year, but then they yanked the offer off the table. Plus, he lives on the North Side.   ;)

We're about one injury away from me proclaiming this as well. I cannot believe I'm competitive without Smyth, Horcoff, Tkachuk, and Gaborik.

At least I got some under the radar/draft steals in Datsyuk, Savaard, and Kvasha and my makeshift defense line is coming thru (McCabe and then, who?)

because the cubs hate black people.  but really, 1) cubs have wrigley/sox had comiskey and now have u.s. cellular (i.e., sox have/had awful stadiums); 2) cubs play in upper middle class and white wrigleyville neighborhood/sox play in run-down, mainly black and poor white south side; 3) cubs had ernie banks/sox had. . .ummm, cubs had ernie banks.

i think i would rather watch house or prison break than the World Series!!!!!

and its not your lack of hockey knowledge, its the fact that you are now playing fantasy hockey with a Canadian and a guy from Michigan...really makes it tougher.

the leauge i have with my family in Canada has the same point structure, and i am in 5th place with 945.50 , a whopping 179 off the pace!!!!

I don't know that I agree.  I think there was more to this decision than just the relief staff.  It is hard to argue with the psychological lift this provided the starting rotation and the rest of the team.  And I think they have enough time before the World Series starts that they can get their relievers working out.

Keep in mind, the strength of the White Sox rotation is certainly not in their bullpen.  Minus the amazing El Duque performance against the Red Sox, their bullpen has never been outstanding.

 White Sox in 6.

To be fair, I'm not as skilled since I've never played any fantasy sport before. It wasn't until 4 days ago I discovered I could change who I dressed daily instead of weekly, and then it wasn't until today I found out each position has a maximum number of "starts". Learning on the fly.

I wouldn't worry about the number of starts. each position has a very large number of starts and its highly unlikely you will reach that maximum.  there is a place you can check how many you have used/projected to use and whether you are under or over that pace. unless you switch players every day to get a stacked lineup, you'll be fine.

and yes, you can change all your players daily, but you were doing a good job with that anyway.

and about baseball.....i was thinking about how the announcers were juicing over Guillen and co. FAR FAR too much during the Sox/Sox series. granted not much was happening to talk good about the Red Sox, but they were REALLY REALLY in love with Guillen. it was sorta nauseating...like the way John Madden talks about Brett Favre.

That's why when it was 8-2 in game 4, he should have given his pen a little work just to stay fresh in a live situation, on camera, with pressure.  Especially with a rookie closer in Bobby Jenks.

I didn't sleep a wink last night.

Albert Pujols gave me Dave Henderson flashbacks.

Is Albert Pujols from the Dominican Republic? If you had to prepare a list with the best 20 current baseball players, what percentage would be from a caribbean country (Dom. Republic, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, Nicaragua...)?
