good point pornoman, and this is pretty useless as we're just screaming past each other at this point ... but, sonick, i do have a good understanding of hockey .. admittedly it's not on the same level for me as basketball, baseball, and football -- but i know more about the sport than the average fan ... my friend is a beat writer for the south florida sun sentinel covering the panthers, and we talk a lot of hockey ...

wow, that's hilarious ... when i was watching the penguins get the shit kicked out of them in the eastern conference finals, i thought i was watching the panthers play, i guess it was just a football team that got lost

 His analogy is equally as flawed; football has 250 plays per game? Couldn't I argue that there's a near infinite number of decisions/plays going on in a hockey game? My contention isn't even that hockey is more of a thinking game then football but just that this idea that "football is the chess of athletic competition" and everything else is way below it is absurd.
