This will be a great collection and hopefully it will show up on eMusic, but given music licensing laws it's hard to tell these day.  If anything I'd like to cherry pick some of the tracks, since I owe a bunch of these already.

KITSUNE TABLOID BY PHOENIX

Following on Digitalism who kicked off the Tabloid series, we now give free reins to Phoenix for an unlikely yet amazing compilation. The boys have gathered some rarities that have changed their life. A stylish musical present from one of the greatest French bands which spearheads its forthcoming album to be released this spring. Contains exclusive and rare tracks from

Gave the new Superdrag a run-through last night and really liked it. It feels particularly all over the place, and a couple songs went by without notice. But there were more great numbers that grabbed my attention.

New Superdrag takes a few spins but there are about 6 or 7 really strong tracks that get better with each listen. A lot more nuanced than their past two records. It is a bit of a mash up of styles but it holds its own against the rest of their catalog. Especially fond of tracks 3 and 4.

Saw their show in Knoxville last week and I'm really excited for the 9:30 show. Nice mix of older material and the new stuff. Played about half of "Industry Giants" but didn't neglect some of the stronger tunes from "Head Trip in Every Key" and "The Fabulous 8 Track Sounds."

Nadja - When I See the Sun Always Shines on TV

Jaguar, you need this now!

"Toronto ambient/shoegaze duo NADJA illustrate their eclectic roots by covering their favorite artists. From My Bloody Valentine and The Cure to artists
as impossibly diverse as Slayer and Elliot Smith, this album contains eight carefully-selected covers re-imagined through NADJA?s unique sonic blueprint."

Track Listing
-------------
 1. Only Shallow (My Bloody Valentine)     ( 6:35)
 2. Pea (Codeine)                          ( 4:09)
 3. No Cure For The Lonely (Swans)         ( 6:56)
 4. Dead Skin Mask (Slayer)                (10:06)
 5. The Sun Always Shines On TV (A-ha)     ( 6:01)
 6. Needle In The Hay (Elliott Smith)      ( 4:45)
 7. Long Dark Twenties (Kids In The Hall)  ( 6:35)
 8. Faith (The Cure)                       (12:47)

On the Swans cover right now. Perfect reinterpretations so far.

I thought Bonnie's album was kind of boring. But I've never really been much of a fan. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

At first I was really disappointed with the new Bonnie Prince Billy album. It was so polished and shiny, with clean instrumentation and smooth background vocals, whereas I like my Oldham creaky and ramshackle. But the fact is, motherscratcher can write songs and the quality still comes shining through. Doesn't reach the highs of Lie Down in the Light, and isn't nearly on the level of I See a Darkness or Viva Lost Blues. But it's another win for the bald fat man.

Man, I've been seeing a lot of bad reviews for Beware...and it's really surprising me.  I LOVE IT.  I mean, yeah, you put it against I See A Darkness and I can see how someone would be disappointed if that's what you like/want from Billy every time.  I personally wouldn't want another Darkness...it stands alone.  They're just really really different...Beware is really creepy and funny at times, but has an overall sound of happy and light, whereas you can barely glean any "light" from Darkness...it's dark and heavy, lyrics and music alike.  Beware still has some dark lyrics but hidden under a shiny veneer.  First track, Beware Your Only Friend, is case in point.  I find it to be even darker because of the facade.  I wonder if the people who don't like it are truly paying attention, or if they just really have a problem with that jangly country stuff (understandable, but I personally love it).

Anybody else had a chance to check this one out?

I'll admit, I've never been that big on this band beyond their hits collection. But dang, their new one hits a homer on every song for me.

New SFA is incredible after one listen.  It's bigger, louder and heavier than just about anything they've ever done.  I'm quite the SFA freak, but I'd recommend checking the album out if you get a chance.

I've been seeing a lot of similar opinions, from huge SFA fans and otherwise.  DD/LY is still a hell of a listen to me, despite 2+ plays a day since it was released.  Some of the songs have revealed themselves to be SFA classic worthy, even if it didn't seem so it first.

But, as I've stated, I worship everything released by those guys.  And will passionately argue their greatness, and hopefully acclaimed place in music history.

So any word on whether they will tour in the U.S. on this album?

According to an interview Gruff did before the album came out, he said they weren't playing any indoor gigs for a while.  However, seeing as they're playing some British festivals this summer, I wouldn't be surprised if they do a US club tour in the late-summer/fall.  The album comes out in the US April 21, so maybe there'll be some announcement around then.  I hope they tour for the album, it sounds like it'd be a great album to hear live.  Unfortunately, I've read that US tours haven't been the most profitable option for the band in the past.  But I'd be very surprised if they did no US shows.

I love how Acid Mothers Temple have two albums due out over a span of two weeks.

How many did they end up putting out last year? Six?
I have four but am pretty sure that's not all of them.
