 i always identify the homestead grays with...homestead, the section of pittsburgh. yes i know they played in dc too, but homestead was in their name.
 
 in one sense, rhett is correct, african-americans are at one of their lowest percentages in the majors. however, naming the team the grays is more about the past than the present. i kinda like it
