That traffic made me miss a photo assignment.  I was meant to cover radiohead, but all I got was pavement.

I took comfort in the fact that only 3 of the 9 photgraphers who were meant to cover the show actually made it in time.

Okay, you see the issue is that some of us work.  It's how we pay for all these concert tickets, $12 beers and CDs.  Oh yeah, and rent.  I'm sorry, these pavillion shows are too friggin' early.  I think it's because they're out in the 'burbs where people live and so there are curfews.  It's nuts. Nissan is usually much worse, but it sounds like Merriweather was pretty bad as well last night.

All I can say is, I live in the city and to spend 5 hours in a car to see a band at Nissan is unreal.  I could go to Philly during non-rush hour traffic.

I don't have an answer, but you can't blame the concertgoers for poor planning.  The best laid plans of mice and men, after all....

Radiohead is a mainstream band for suburban teens anyway.

I was pleasantly surprised to here Wolf at the Door, Just and yes even Creep.
Shut the fuck up.  Many of us work.  Many of us have attend shows where there were loads of people and trafic wasn't this bad.  I waited an hour ON THE FUCKING RAMP off Columbia.  How the hell was I supposed to know that.  It's never happened before, I have no basis to assume that I would sit on a ramp for an hour.  Now if I had just cut to the front I wouldn't have missed the gloaming, but ah well.  Something was clearly very fucked up.  I want to defend Merryweather against Nissan but fuck it.  Tear it down. I won't be going to another pavillion show again so I don't really care.  Who starts a show at 6:30.  That was rediculous.

Good set by the by, although people really have clapping issues.  Took them over a minute to figure out We Suck Young Blood.  It's on the 4 folks!  And I will say that row S provided an excellent view.

Seing Stephen Malkmus would have been great -- because then i'd have been there in enough time to photograph radiohead.  The pavement reference was aimed more at the road I was laying (while taking the above picture) than it was at the former [pavement] front man.

man!! which way did everyone come in?? We cam in from Rt. 29 from I-70 and we didnt get stuck in ANY traffic whatsoever!  none. and we got there at like 6pm. I am sorry to hear people got stuck in traffic.  Merriweather usually isnt like that..but then again, i havent been in like 3 years until last night.

As for working, i left early to make sure i showered shaved and ate and gave myself PLENTY of time......but not everyone can leave work early.
