So now that tickets are on sale..who is taking the plunge with me??? It could be a train wreck given the age of these guys but I cant pass up the chance to see them, especially in such a small venue...

I got my tickets. I would have passed if it had been a Nissan, Merriweather, or Patriot Center show.

Train wreck or not, I figure it should be entertaining at least.

It's bound to be a train wreck...it's the sex pistols!

Just concerned it may be a Thomas the tank engine kind of train wreck with the old farts.

I think you missed my point....part of the beauty if a Sex Pistols concert is that they are total fucking train wrecks.

I'm so excited, I can hardly put it into words. I saw their reunion gig about 8 years ago and they played some of the songs slower, but who cares? Also, I don't even care that they have absolutely NO new songs. This is HISTORIC!!!
We can only hope that they actually show up, and that something doesn't happen to make them cancel the concert.

I saw them last year and they were amazing for a bunch of old fucks.

I'll be seeing them out West again this year and fully looking forward to it.

We don't think this show is going to sell out today, do we?

If you can believe it, I'm checking to see if some friends in NYC want to go to see them at Trump Marina in A.C. with me -- can you imagine that scene, the Pistols in Atlantic City, at a Trump property no less?  I'm all over that if I can get some compadres.

Yeah, I thought about going to Atlantic City to see them myself. What an insane place for them to play! They're also playing at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas. I have a couple of theories about this...
Number 1 - Their management is trying to "ape" their very 1st U.S. tour, organized by McLaren, where they played some pretty crazy places, such as a country music club. (Playing in crazy places draws publicity.)
Number 2 - They are in cahoots with some big promoter associated in some way with someone like Donald Trump, and, as a result, have only booked them into places associated with this particular promoter.  (which would mean 930 Club is also associated with these people)
Whatever happened to Punk rock being the anti-capitalist's, every-man's music! Obviously, it certainly isn't anymore. The Pistols are putting the death nail in that idea. They helped start it, and, now, I sure hope they aren't ending it.
And- to answer the other person's question - YES, THEIR 930 CLUB SHOW WILL SELL OUT TODAY, and tickets will be scalped for HUNDREDS of dollars!!

The AC show at Trump Marina should be amazing.  With chairs, that venue holds about 1580; without chairs, about 2,200.

I'm asuming no chairs, hee hee.

Tickets for AC have been on sale for over two weeks without selling out.  I wouldn't hold out such hope for 9:30.

Based on the 'Filthy Lucre' tour seven years ago, and last year's amazing show, this thing should blow the roof off the 9:30.  Whoever thought the Patriot Centre show played songs slower than "Bollocks" needs to listent to Bollocks again...

Finally -- SETH!!  CAN YOU GET (the) Razz TO OPEN LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO AT ALEXANDRIA ROLLER RINK?  SO I CAN HAVE SOME FUCKING CLOSURE FROM THAT DISASTER??!!??!!?

The Hard Rock has it's own sepreate venue which is comparable to the 9:30 as far as concert venues go.  The Joint holds about 1400 people so it's not a big Amphitheatre or any thing like that.

If you want anti-capitalist everymans music, listen to Steve Earle or Billy Bragg.
