Oh dear lord. I hope it helps the band out some, they're one of my very, very favorites, although their first two albums were their best. [/b]
one of my favs too. it may do something for them, because they keep talking about how interesting and different their music is. first two albums were awesome, totally with you there. i've seen them the last two times they played here, good live performance, nice folks too.

ought to be interesting if there is any backlash

Me too.

I can see watching a lot of tv if you live in some podunk redneck town like where I grew up. There, your entertainment options are limited, and life is pretty fucking boring. My mom gets to choose between television and the latest mainstream movies.

But jeepers, we're in DC here. There are so many possibilities for entertainment, culture, recreation, education...watching more than a handful of tv hours a week just seems like a waste...like why not be pickier?

To be fair, I TiVo most everything and watch it at odd hours. I haev no programs I feel the need to set aside time to be home for.

Personally, I guess I just find more interesting things to do at home than watch tv. Like reading the paper, a magazine, or a book. Or going for long runs, or riding my bike to Wakefield Park. Or cooking. Or having sexual, sensual, and emotional intimacy with my lovely wife. Or talking on the phone. Or mowing the lawn.

I just don't see where people find the time to watch tv! I guess they sleep less than me. Heck, I've even got an Xbox that was given to us that just sits there unused.

Well, Rhett, worry not: we all set aside time to boink your wife regularly.

I thought that was what going to work and chatting all day, while searching for new music and articles on new music, was all about.

You mean like "Rock Star: INXS" and Robbie Fulks on "The Today Show?"

I was picky. The INXS viewing accounted for my entire two hours of tv viewing a week during the summer, and the Fulks interview took all of 15 seconds to watch.

Now I watch Lost. Throw in the occasional baseball game and bits and pieces of an occasional NASCAR race, and that's it. Really.

About the only shows I watch regularly are Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Office and Battlestar Galactica. Battlestar Galactica, in my opinion, is the best show on TV.
