We need a TV thread dont we?

Waiting for one of the resident hipster responses:
 
 1) "I don't even own a television."
 
 2) "I only watch PBS."
 
 I've never understood tv's bad rep. Sure 60% of it is garbage, but you can say that about any medium. As far as I can tell, "The Simple Life," any recent movie starring Cuba Gooding Jr, and the latest shlock from Mary Higgins Clark are on the same rung of the food chain. If you want quality in books, movies, and television, it can be found. To dismiss the entire television medium seems like an antiquted notion since most Americans have access to more than just the 5 networks. I laugh at people who tell me they don't watch tv but plunk down $9 to watch some piece of crap Gus Van Sant film about a cereal box. Praising film and shunning television is like condemning McDonald's on your way into Chipotle. It all comes from the same place folks.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's pretty random, and as such, occasionally hysterical and occasionally "blah." The episode with the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past (from the Future!) is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

 Funny, I've completely ditched Boston Legal.  Kirk and Spader are just cartoony for me, and there are too many other shows.

Believe it or not, you watch a lot more tv than I do, which isn't saying you watch a lot.
 
 I just rarely ever bother with it. Too many other things to occupy my time and interests. Also, I don't have cable so I'm stuck with a lot more of the crap that I'd just rather not waste my time with unless I just want background activity while I'm napping. Even then, I tend to opt for music instead.
 
 When I do watch it, it's generally in spurts. Oddly, and I've never figured this out yet, I always seem to manage to see a repeat of some show that I've already seen. What I can't figure out is that with the very little tv that I do watch, how did I ever see the original airing in the first place? I could see only one episode of some show and not see it again in ages and damned if it won't be the one show that I've already seen.

 Lost (love it!)
 Prison Break
 Rome (though I'm tiring of it)
 Masterpiece Theatre / Mystery! (whichever series is airing)
 
 Then if I'm home and just want to watch something, I'll watch:
 CSI
 Law & Order
 Without a Trace
 Veronica Mars (am watching the excellent 1st Season on DVD)
 
 I really can't keep up with too many. I feel like there are a lot more good shows than there used to be.

My comings and goings:
I think Scrubs has had it's time...and 24 clock should burn out.
"The Hills" is done and "The City" trumps.
I just got into "Damages" - I love it.
Waiting on Netflix to send "Tudors".
Also just started viewing "Burn Notice" - love it. Sea 1 & 2 will marathon before Sea 3 premiere in June.
"Mad Men" returns August...
New for me this season:  "The Fashion Show" - eh jury still out on that one...Project Runway is probably better.
Top Chef returns in summer too.
