I don't think there's a pre-sale.  I haven't seen anything yet.

 I'm excited!

I am seriously excited. My plan of action is to get tickets for Ramshead first. Then maybe if lawn seat tickets for Wolf Trap are like 18- 20 bucks, then maybe I'll go to that one as well. It would be cool to have a picnic (they still let you bring in your picnic basket right?) and just have a small party with friends. It would be totally rad.

Is the view from the lawn at Wolf Trap any good?  Or is it more like just chill and listen to the music?

Considering that the Norva is about the same size as Ramshead, that's a pretty great price honestly. I have a feeling it'll be that much in Baltimore.

Last time for Moz, shit seats were like 45 bucks and good seats were 55 and that was at DAR Constitution Hall. So really 40 bucks for general admision at Norva is pretty sweet.

I suppose the tickets are only available through ticketbastard...or will it be tickets.scam?

I need to pre-register so I can just 'one-click' or whatever it is we have to do these days.

it's not that great of a view, and the video screens are nothing like those at mega-amphitheatres

that said, it's my favorite lawn atmosphere ... as long as you leave the smack and meth at home, you can bring pretty much whatever the hell you want with you ... you'll see people with full fine-dining picnic dinners replete with bottles of wine, and (depending on the band) you'll see people with a cooler full of bud ice and some tostitos ... and if you get down close enough on the lawn the view really isn't that bad, but you need to be in the pavilion if you really want to get into the show

How quick of a sellout should I expect for Moz? Tickets for Norfolk go on sale Saturday at 10am and I'm going to be at the NorVa Sunday for Decemberists. Do you guys think I'm safe waiting to avoid the ticket charges?

The lawn is pretty small at Wolf Trap so get there early if you want a decent view. Don't go there hungry 'coz  you won't find decent food there (just chips, hotdogs, and pretzels last year) - eek...bring your own food.

How the hell are you going to give him his Gladioli if you're way back on the lawn?

Cool.  Any word on ticket prices for Wolf Trap and Rams Head and when they go on sale?  Hopefully I'll be hitting up both!

Wolf Trap's website is www.wolf-trap.org and they have the summer line-up on there, with the on-sale for these first shows happening this coming Sat 3/31. However Morrissey isn't listed yet.  There's a blurb on the site that says another set of shows will be announced on 4/9, so that's probably when they'll make the official announcment, and the tix for the Morrissey show will likely go one sale the following weekend 4/14.  Just keep on eye on the WT website to be certain.  Tix are usually sold thru tickets.com but the best bet is to actually go to Wolf Trap and buy them at the box office .. no extra fees that way.  Tix for inside the pavillion will probably be in the $40+ range, and lawn will probably be $25.  Keep in mind there are no video screens for the lawn at WT.  But the lawn at WT is a good time, and you can bring in coolers, food, wine, etc.  You just gotta be there when the turnstiles open (around 5:30pm) and score your decent lawn spot otherwise you could be SOL, view-wise. And then you spend your time waiting for the concert drinking and having dinner; definitely the best lawn-concert environment in the area.
