 Also, Led Zeppelin might have led to hundreds upon hundreds of crappy metal bands, but they are pretty fucking good.  Just listen to their second album and the first half Physical Graffiti if you're not convinced.
 
 AC/DC, I have no comment on.  Just not a fan.

Clearly you don't know what you are talking about.  I was bombarded by the entire Led Zeppellin catalog during my youth.  I was forced to listen to them.
 
 The reason I hate the Stones is because they've been playing for decades, and they still can barely play their instruments.
 
 I was bombarded with AC/DC during my youth.  I hated them then.  But as an adult I have found that I don't nearly find them as repugent as I used to.  AC/DC has aged well.  I think that I finally GET them.

i went into DC9 after the death cab show and walked into a full-on butt rock set from the jukebox ... heard some styx, AC/DC ... i put a few random songs like "brimful of asha" on, then it went right back to the butt rock ... never heard that at DC9 ...

 1. Eric Clapton - might be able to play and i luv cream, but man i just cant stand HIS songs.
 
 2. Van Morrison - sounds like he's got marshmallows in his mouth when he sings.
 
 3. Chicago - peter cetera's solo career should be testify to their suckedness. go ahead and sing a high falsetto like him u kno u want to. then pick your nuts up from off the floor.
 
 4. supertramp - 'ol vice-grip nuts'. amazing how i like rush tho, probably b/c they dont whine like a bunch of queens. "take the long way home...." [as i put a gun to my head hearing it]
 
 5. Allman Brothers - i hate southern rock, period.

 3. The Eagles
 4. David Crosby, like me some CSNY but C gets on my tits
 5. Rod Stewart remains because of the American Classic crapola he keeps spewing out.  Who buys this stuff..
 
 Ted Nugent is kept off the list ONLY because of his involvement with the Amboy Dukes and the classic "Journey to the Center of the Mind"
 
 The Doors are completely ignorable...
 
 Going to a high school in the Detroit area in the late seventies it was kinda hard to avoide Bog Seger and Ted Nugent on the radio.  I remember it being a big deal when Seger did a six night run at Cobo Hall.  Had some of those awkward teenage blues and "Live Bullet" on the stereo.  But Seger like many other bands of my youth were distant memories replaced by increased devotion to The Clash, Talking Heads, Devo, U2, Wall of Voodoo, Replacements, Circle Jerks.
 
 Because Bob is such a control freak he wont let his early and better garage blues material be re-released legally, because it's  too raw and far flung from his polished "Like A Rock" spewage..

Foghat should get a special mention... Bought their greatest hits to get my mitts on "Fool for the City" and "Slow Ride".  Only to find out that besides the obvious singles the rest of the stuff was crap.  If the compliations remaining material is considered "great", I shutter to think what the rest of their catalog sounds like.

This is actually a pretty good list more far reaching then I expected it to be, i.e. Love, The Move.  I would swap out some of the songs for Nuggets type tracks

 I forgot about them.  They rank right up there with Led Zeppelin in the catagory Bands I have been Forced to Listen to Repeatedly.

 For the record, the original Dawn of the Dead has aged very badly. Is it more funny or scary now? Tough call...
