I call it having a sense of humor. If you can't take a little ribbing, you surely are a weak person. Would I mock them in person? No. But for crist sake, if they want to make themselves into public figures, they're going to have to be open to a bit of ribbing. I would think that any band that appears on the Leno show is good fodder for a bit of ribbing. It's not like I'm making fun of the crippled black guy that lives next door to me...I'm making fun of dorks who wear black eyeliner and listen to the Cure, for gosh sakes.

quote:
Originally posted by thatguy:
some of y'all (particularly the multitudes that exist in rhett's head) really need to learn how to shut the fuck up sometimes.
saying something negative about a band's music is one thing. not everyone likes the same thing, and intelligent discourse about musical differences is great. however, there really is no need for personal comments about people that you don't know anything about personally. and i'm not just talking about bands that i'm friends with, as in this thread or several others. i'm talking about any band, or public figure, or anyone you don't know. it's really not cool.
negative energy always comes back. i wish i could be there to see it bite some of y'all in the ass.
