I don't think Wilco ever backed up Bragg live... They only backed him in the studio.  I'm sure some Wilco expert can confirm or deny this.  I recall tepid review of the Mermaid Avenue tour due to Bragg's less than stellar backing unit.

Flock of seagulls were scousers so are excused!...and I already mentioned the Thompson Twins, I want them to replace Japan who I thought were pretty good, and put on a great live show by the way.

Hey man, don't mess with those Flock of Seagulls!  You've gotta love a Scouser with big hair....or a Mancunian with any hair!

When I saw him for the last time at the 930 he introduced his backing band as "Wilco".

The tepid review of the Mermaid Avenue tour was simply because it was bloody awful, plain and simple.

Any "worst of" list without Guns & Roses is definitely flawed.  Axl Rose's voice could grate cheese!

Agreed Mankie.  David Sylvain has a great voice and "Ghost" is one of the best singles of the 80's.

I thought of them, but couldn't be arsed and didn't want to offend my American friends...both of them!

But now you've mentioned them, how about

 Bon Jovi
 Aerosmith
 KISS
 Van Halen

 ??

The first two Aerosmith albums were pretty good.  The other three are complete crap.

Hell, you could add almost any Canadian band to the list, starting with Loverboy.  But leave The Guess Who off the list.  They were a good pop band.

I like GnR, but I have no clue as to what anyone would like in any of the above. Especially Van Halen, every picture I have seen of them makes me want to burst out laughing, yet the doodles love 'em, why?

I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Eddie Van Halen without him showing those 65 pearly whites.

Until DLR left.  Then they sucked.
