In the last week:

 The Hidden Cameras "Smell Of Our Own" -- a stew of Belle and Sebastian, Polyphonic Spree and Pansy Division. Great X-rated pop.

 Jet "Dirty Sweet EP" -- Feh... This might have been exciting a couple years ago, but nowadays I need more than just the same loud'n'dirty garage riffs. I often end up liking this kind of stuff, so we'll see.

 Motorhead "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" -- Had to buy after the show. Great niche disc.

 New Pornographers "Electric Version" -- Loved the first one. This one seems a little sterile and clinical. Very well-written and played, but... lacks an emotional level.

 Blur "Think Tank" -- I'm going to love this eventually, but it's taking repeated listenings. It's usually a good sign when I don't get something at first but am compelled to keep trying.

Well that would figure, Liz Phair is basically Sheryl Crow these days, although I have not heard the new Liz Phair.

Bishop Allen makes me so happy.  I think 'Busted Heart' currently holds first place in the Song of the Year competition that takes place in my head.

Well you can hear the single here:

 She has basically stated she wants to just be popular, and that is the kind of music she is making.

Well, at least she knows what kind of music she makes. Personally I've never liked her music at all. Don't like Sheryl Crow either.

me neither! sheryl crow gets more annoying as the years go by. when i saw her video that is on the beach, her "comeback" video, it looked like she had had some plastic surgery.. am i on crack or does anyone else agree that she looks different? isn't she going on 40?

Wow just listened to it, that is truly awful, how did she fall so far from the days of Exile in Guyville.

My daughter and I just had our bi-weekly visit to Tower...she bought herself this;

  <img src="http://www.kulichki.com/beatles/btoday/1/beatles.1.gif" alt=" - " />

 ...and I bought this:

 On a similar note (pun intended) At work we have mix 107FM and John Mayer is on right now...that "wonderland" song...is it so wrong for me to like that song?
