I paid $7/bottle for 11.2 oz bottles of Cuvee des Jacobins Rouge. Comparable in taste/quality, imo. So $12 for 26 ounces is actually pretty fair. Still, that's like half the price of the Bruery's Oude Tart.

Sours aint cheap. Unless you're comparing them to high quality wine.

Every time I'm tempted to buy a bomber, I always step back to do the math and it never makes sense to me.  Buying a bomber for $11.99 is equivalent to buying a six-pack for $34.00.

but a lot of things in bombers are not available in 6packs and have much higher ABV

An 11.5% bomber contains 2.92 ounces of ethanol -- at $11.99, that's $4.11 per ounce.
A 7.5% six-pack contains 5.40 ounces of ethanol -- at $11.99, that's $2.22 per ounce.

So the question becomes, is the flavor that you're paying so dearly for worth that much more, or is there something close to it that's a better value?

If the price per ounce were the same for 11.2 oz bottles and 25.4 oz bottles, I'd still pick the 11.2 oz bottle every time, because who in there right mind would want to drink 25.4 oz of beer on their own in one sitting anyway?

That Resolute they are releasing on 11/15 at the brewery looks pretty damn good.

Only 15 Oregon beers would crack the top 50 CA list. (Actually less because that would extend the list to 65..)

CA has the best, most inaccessible beer in the states.

Has a small growler of this yesterday. Yum. Right up there with Nugget Nectar, Cigar City Tocabaga, and MBC Zoe for best in class for amber ales.

depending on the situation, i can kill a bomber of just about anything.  obviously not when i have responsibilities, but late on sunday when i'm going to spend 2 hours watching football before going to bed?  so the second glass will be a little flatter than the first.  i can deal with it.

I'm not sure multiple beers that have ratings from less than 100 people qualify as the best in the state.
