Never heard of Gentry or Halladay, so that would explain why I didnt think of them.

Theres a long and winding path that took me from being a John Denver fan to becoming a Heilung adherent. Buy me a beer or two and I'll tell you the whole story.

Alright, deal. You can also put me to shame if we compare race times as well.

I remember arguing with a girl in my elementary school about what the B side to the 1975 John Denver 45 "Fly Away" was. A 45 I owned. This must have been a couple years after it was released. I mean, everyone knows it was "Two Shots," right?

When I think of  sports heroes/celebrities dying in small aircraft crashes, Thurman Munson is the one that comes to mind. Though I honestly didn't think of any of these yesterday, until I pulled up that article.

Also on the helicopter, John Altobelli , Orange Coast College baseball coach, his wife and 13-year-old daughter.

John's dad, Joe, was the manager of the Orioles the last time they won a World Series - 37 years ago.

OK, so I'll just ask to advance the story: so did you get laid afterwards?

The last time I saw her was at a fraternity party my freshman year of college. Coincidentally, we had both gone out of state to college in a city three hours away. She was at the local junior college, I was at the engineering school.

I was a virgin at the time and I'm pretty sure she wasn't. I was not a member of the fraternity nor was I interested in being one, but I drank their shitty free beer. We did not talk about John Denver and I was still a virgin after the party.

The end.

Why. Why do I live in fear that every new post on this thread is Paul McCartney.

When I think of Paul, I think of healthy vegetarian guy.

One the other hand, when I think of Willie, I think of a guy who was so sick he had to give up his beloved weed. So Willie gets my celebrity concern.

Bob Weir

My concerns

Weir's probably in better shape than most of us who post here.

I'd think Mickey Hart would be next among that group to ascend to the astral plane...

Which is a horrifying thought.
