love the "hands across america"  theme

Yeah that was a really good one. Totally unexpected plot and tone twists.

Thumbs down on that one for me. It started well enough, like it was going to be some kind pf psychological thriller. Then it turned into standard horror movie garbage. I'm not sure what the critics saw in the one, other than a chance to kiss ass the Black director.

Gurrrrl, I just watched Ant Man.  It was so good and a cute, simple superhero movie.

It took me almost half the movie, to realize the lead actress, was what's her name from Lost.

Here's hoping the sequel, is just as good!

I want to see The Goldfinch this weekend but I feel there's no way a 2.5 hour movie can possible do that novel justice. Early reviews are so bad.

Anyway, as for movies I have actually seen and therefore can recommend: The Mountain with Jeff Goldblum is fantastic. Rick Alverson is going to blow up as a director at some point.

One of my most favorite books. Definitely not going to the theater to see it.

As a guy with a pair of balls, rom-coms aren't usually my top genre (though preferred over superhero or horror movies), but these two were quite enjoyable:

Always Be My Maybe (streaming on Netflix, great Keanu Reeves cameo and closing credits song)

Long Shot (Come on, this may be the most appropriate titled movie ever)
