Just to be clear, is this the AFI in silver spring or . . .

Oh do they have one in Richmond?
We do not. But there are other AFIs in metro DC. Not sure what sort of insult you were going for here.

I actually love the Silver Spring AFI. Wonderful theatre. I find an interesting excuse to see a movie there every time I’m at work in Chevy Chase. Just saw Erice’s Close Your Eyes there and it was transformative.

Thanks for taking an interest.

I wasn’t aware of other local AFIs.

I didn’t mean to imply that these movies are playing at AFI Powder Coating, or at the home of Afi Doh, Real Estate Agent extraordinaire. Sorry for any confusion.

I think it's been 2 decades since the AFI at the Kennedy center was open, AFAIK ...the silver springs location is the only one (yes I added an s)

I'd be happy to hear about more locations, but I think there is only one

and of course this classic, filmed in Ocean City, MD. Can't for the life of me figure out how they got Susan Sarandon to appear in this one.  "Like the Karate Kid but with hip hop and ping pong"!!!

She was also in the tv show Search Party, which though I admit to watching, seems a little beneath her

Heretic.

Great movie, though not perfect. May see it again soon.

I watched a movie last night. First one I wanted to watch in years.

To Rome With Love

I thought it was fantastic. Definitely top tier Woody Allen. Very felliniesque.
