 I suggest you take the yellow line until "Gallery Place/Chinatown" and then change to the green line until the "U Street/African American Civil War Museum/Cardozo" stop.
 
 as for the hotels, not sure, but not too far you have the Dupont Circle area with quite a few hotels, not sure about the prices though.

dunno me thinks empty seats at this on... but other then Bohemian Rhapsody not much attention in the US for 25+ years and especially without freddie out front.  might have gone were it at the 9:30 club as they are all talented musicians and worth hearing but not at the MCI Center.

If they're on an OK night of the week and there's nothing to do here that day, why not? I certainly wouldn't come for just anyone but Deerhoof was one of the best shows I'd seen all year and I wasn't even that big of a fan.
