[/QB]damn, every time with you.
why do you always have to be so damn know itall every single time someone makes one little bad comment about the club.
so, someone buys a ticket to a show, thinking , like most shows, band goes on at 9:30 or so, then finds out they go on at 7pm. he has a right to be upset, in fact, people have the right to be upset for ANY reason. I live in Baltimore and if i had chosen to buy a ticket, i would have to take off work early to get to the show.
going to bed early? what a stupid reason, shadrach. as is "oh i'd just buy tickets for both shows" i know for one, i cant afford to do shit like that.
and yes, the 930 Club did this. this was their decision, not Sonic Youth's. and while the second show will probably make more people happy than angry, its bound to put a couple people in a crappy situation.
ever heard that , "you can't please everyone" saying. well, its true, so dont be surprised when sometimes you hear from the one(s) you didnt please. its not like he said he was never going to the club again. jeez. [/QB]
Well I'm far from a know it all, but I may have a little inside knowledge being that I work for 9:30.
And as far as people complaining, they have every right, just like I have every right to address those complaints. People will always find something to complain about; the show was too late, too early, too loud, too quiet, too long, too short, they didn't play enough old stuff, they played too much old stuff, it was too crowded, too empty and on and on and on.
We really try to make as many people happy as possible and the fact is that you can't always make everyone happy. You've got to break a few eggs to make an omelet... whatever cliche you want to hear, there's plenty that apply.
As a whole I think we make folks happy far more than unhappy and that's why people keep buying tickets and coming back.
