 ;) ;) ;)

because who in there right mind would want to drink 25.4 oz of beer on their own in one sitting anyway?

me.

depending on the situation, i can kill a bomber of just about anything.  obviously not when i have responsibilities, but late on sunday when i'm going to spend 2 hours watching football before going to bed?  so the second glass will be a little flatter than the first.  i can deal with it.

Poor 3 Stars can't even land a beer in the top 20 for DC.

http://www.beeradvocate.com/lists/state/dc/

I'm afraid they're going to lose a star.

I'm not sure multiple beers that have ratings from less than 100 people qualify as the best in DC.

The Bros set the rules, not us. I'm pretty sure they are not statisticians.

I can say that from my one visit to Tired Hands, they do some pretty damn good (and unique) beers. And the beers I had were none of the 26 on that list.

Holy cow. 26 of the top 50 in PA from Tired Hands. Two from Victory. Two from Troegs. None from Weyerbacher.

I'm not doubting the deliciousness of Tired Hands' beers, but to for a list to contain 50% of their beers, something ain't right.

They're not a commercial production brewery, in that they don't bottle their beers. (or they rarely do)

That has allowed them to do a shit-ton of beers in a short period of time (two years?), whereas your Victory's, your Troegs (ok, Troegs has their scratch series, but still), your Weyerbacher's, etc, despite being around much longer, do/have done less beers because they are sticking to a much smaller, more set portfolio.

They changed the rules. No more one time only beers. Now Tired Hands has only 12 of the top 50.

http://www.beeradvocate.com/lists/state/pa/

And there are only 43 beers total that even qualify for DC.

I hope not. I'd rank it as the best DC beer I've had.

If it was brewed within the last year, it doesn't yet qualify as a one time only beer. Even if it specifically was intended as a one time beer. At least that's the way I read it.

I agree with FAtskippy. We need more Solar Abyss!

Had one of these on draft last night. Nice job, Flying Dog.

Also had a taste of Sam Adams KMF Grand Cru...which was surprisingly good.

I enjoyed that Flying Dog brew as well. Kind of strange I had never even heard of a blood orange IPA then all of a sudden I saw a handful in a few weeks.

Off topic, anyone have a friend close to The Bruery?

I won the chance to purchase three bottles of their black Friday release, but you have to pick the bottles up in person.

Willing to share the wealth if someone would like to pick up and ship to me!
