Seriously?  I hope they have more than "cool ideas."  The lack of a shopping cart feature and the lack of ability to save your information if you want to seem like bad ideas.  let's hope at least that their servers are good at bouncing mass orders from scalpers, and handling big ticket sale days so we'll have no more BS like that Smashing Pumpkins ticket sale in 2007.

I don't know about you guys, but I view not having a pre-populated account as an anti-scalping measure.  Yes it's a bit more difficult for you, but imagine how hard it is for a computer to fill out these boxes everytime if they move the input information around for each ticket, or change the title of the input to something that the auto-fill computer won't recognize.

Of course the scalpers will find a way eventually, but at least ticketfly is making an effort to thwart scalping and costing the scalpers more money to figure out how to beat the system.

Or, he's taking advantage of ticketfly's strategy to push tickets via web 2.0 and social media outlets like twitter and facebook to both (1) sell more tickets and (2) get tickets into the hands of fans.

I do not believe for one second that not having pre-populated user accounts has as much to do with scalper prevention as it does the ticketing agent not wanting to additional database management costs associated with storing said records.

I've heard good things about brownpapertickets.
I bought my Swell Season (pre-sale) tickets via etix.com and the fees were $3 per ticket that's it - will call only.
Musictoday is cheaper as well for their pre-sales.

Hey Seth - any comments regarding a shopping cart? In the past we can put different show tickets in a cart and I believe, avoid multiple fees by conducting one bulk order. Will we be able to do this w/ ticketfly?

Im a big fan of brownpaper tickets. Friends have used them for various things with meetup groups. Le Poisson Rouge is using inticketing and the service charges are minimal. 1.50 service charge on a $10 ticket isnt bad at all. Plus they have also added this: Yes, please add $2.95 USD to my order to help green my experience.
This equates to 1 green ticket(s) @ $2.95 each which offsets approximately 348 lbs. of CO2. (details)

On the other hand - a ticket at the Littlefield for $10 is $12.25 using ticketfly plus they have no option for hard tickets. Not sure I like that in case I cant make the show for some reason
