That is AWESOME. And so true too. I prefer by a wide margin PC games, but it's such a pain keeping my system upgraded and not knowing which games will work.

agreed... there is part of me that has been wanting to build a home theater pc, but if one thinks the water is murky for gaming pcs try checking out the discussion of htpcs.

now if apple would only pull their head out of content delivery asses and delivery a mini mac with a blu-ray player instead of another crapple tv product.

the last time i considered going the gaming pc route, i got the impression that current hw is actually ahead of the curve and its going to be awhile until newer games will be pushing performance to the extreme.

Why bother?  The PCs main job is storage.  The extenders are the key my friend (and they come in many shapes and sizes, some of which you might already own, they just haven't been turned on yet).

I'm sensing a white paper over in the smackie section....

Yep.  And for those that don't want to purcahse and Xbox 360, every DVR on the planet will be able to do this in a years time.  Some can already do it.

As long as the interface is seamless, you can use multiple storage devices (PC, server, external eSATA drive, your DVR's HDD, your game console's HDD) and not know the difference.

 Netflix Partners With Microsoft

Neflix is Microsoft's new media partner. Users will be able to watch the entirety of Netflix's film library directly from their Xbox 360s, and movies and TV shows can be shared with the avatar-based community called Live Party, just announced earlier this morning.

Microsoft's John Schappert said that there would be no additional cost imposed on the Netflix service beyond the regular Netflix subscription costs.
