Really going out on a limb there, considering those other guys are busy making tee times now.

increasing chances of a rainout for game 1.  i've heard if that happens, game 1 will be moved to saturday and game 2 will be moved to sunday - with the travel day removed.

either that or they try to play the game at 3am

Most likely.  And Sunday would probably be a 4PM start since the NL game is at 8.

Awesome news.  Reportedly 3 years >$40M.

$40 million over three years, with $6.5 million deferred. The contract also includes a vesting option for a fourth year based on at-bats.

Seems like a lot of $$ for a 32 year old guy who hit .268 with nine home runs this year. What do you guys think?

I guess maybe they have a win now, let's keep the team chemistry together attitude.

He could've gotten more out of Cashman.  I think he was also being rewarded for past performance, not necessarily this year's stats, which have been underwhelming, for sure.

A 32 year old SS who hit .268 with nine home runs signing for 3 years/$40 million seems like a typical Yankee signing. Couldn't Duquette pull some shortstop out of a magic hat the way he did with Pearce? Bravo to the O's for spending some money though. Not the worst signing ever I'm sure.

I definitely hope they are able to re-sign Miller.
