The Orioles Finally, Mercifully Shelved Chris Davis

It appears the Orioles will not, in fact, let Chris Davis have the worst season in baseball history.

Oh boy, 0-47.  What are they going to do this year?

What does it say about me that I felt the need to tune in for the 46th and 47th at-bats?

You weren't alone.  His AB's are must see TV at this point.

The orioles paid him to break records.

I enjoyed that.

Besides watching records being broken, I'm actually excited about watching..gasp...bunting, speed on the bases, and hustle from the rest of the team.

You (and me) might be the only one(s).  The announced paid attendance last night was 6,585

Last season was the first in my life I failed to make it up to Camden. Had less to do with quality of play than my own personal schedule not allowing me to travel to Baltimore. Hope make it out to a game soon.

I'm still watching the Orioles every night. I did get rid of my season tickets last year so I could go to more shows.

I'm with you.  Still watching and kept my mini-plan.  Which unfortunately has too many games against the Yankees and Red Sox for my liking.

Personally I find it so much more fun to go to a ballgame when attendance is poor....then again I find most people are bozos....everything is so much easier when attendance is weak

I feel this way more about general admission concerts than sporting events. At a sporting event, as long as there are assigned seats, there's no worry about people encroaching on my personal space. And with a larger crowd, there's more enthusiasm and overall energy.

Some people want that crowd enthusiasm in a concert experience but for me a concert feels more like a personal transaction between me and the band (even though it's not.) when compared to a sporting event. Plus, at a crowded general admission concert even innocuous people are transformed into bozos.

God do I loathe Orioles games where Yankee fans are present. I just got through telling my girlfriend that. And now we are apparently attending Game of Thrones night which is a fucking Yankee game. FML

As if a normal game against the Yankees isn't bad enough.

If I had to bet on Rosenthal vs Davis, I would have lost.
