Islam is so full of contradictions. The Koran says to kill disbelievers, yet you hear all the time that Islam is a religion of peace.

the koran also says to spare non-combatants and to show mercy.  it is indeed full of contradictions, internally.  no need for "and people say..."

Which part of the bible, New Testament or Old? I haven't been to a Christian church in 35 years, but I'm pretty Christianity is based on the New Testament, and not the Old (?)

 I'll condemn the act every Christian who kills a non-Christian in the name of their religion. I'm no fan if Christianity.

Also, remember how God slaughtered all the babies in Egypt and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in the book of Joshua? And the Crusades? What a delightful time that must have been for Muslims and Jews.

Christianity is so full of contradictions. The bible says to love your neighbor as you love yourself, yet the entire population of this planet -- except those who share your beliefs -- will spend eternity in an infinite hell of suffering and damnation.

The whole burning in infinite hell stuff doesn't bother me so much since the idea of an infinite hell is a crock of made-up non-scientific shit anyway.

The idea if some ideology condoning killing non-believers on Earth concerns me quite a bit more.

judaism = the old testament only (over-simplification, i know)
christianity = old + new. 

jesus said "i come not to destroy the old testament, but to complete it".  if you're a christian, you believe in the old testament as (also) being the word of god.  when christians talk about being gay is an abomination, that's straight outta the old testament.
