I used to work for a company that was based in Toronto and about 15 years ago, I traveled up there for an on-site all staff meeting. All of a sudden, I was surrounded by Canadians that were my age and demographic. And every time I heard one of them earnestly say 'eh?' I was just so tickled. Yeah, it wasn't constant or ubiquitous, but it was like seeing an Australian say "dollaradoos" or a Brit saying "Cor blimey!" or an American shooting up a school.
