yeah, PET was the bomb back in the 60's and 70's.  his popularity (which i imagine was only aided by his fashion stylings) gave rise to "trudeaumania": he was literally chased by young folks (mostly women) like the beatles.  he was a swinger*.  his wife, margaret, partied at studio 54 where she... partied - while her husband was PM.
