Naaah, that’s not Neil’s style. He will fight for and invest in what he believes in. That’s been true his whole life.

so what happened, I thought Freeland was a shoe-in
bill maher had her on and was like "the next PM"
and https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jan/17/chrystia-freeland-liberal-canada-prime-minister

but she only got 8% of the liberal vote
I'm sure this didn't hurt his chances Carney, himself a former collegiate hockey player.
edit...Carney attended Harvard University, where he played goaltender on the ice hockey team.

for sure there was that...
Her stern rebuke of the prime minister came amid mounting calls for him to step aside. Weeks later, he resigned.

just there was a lot of talk of her having the potential to lead the party

I really don't follow canada too close, but was a little surprised she only got 8% when there was talk of her in the lead

Pure insanity but as we know it’s likely to be bullshit

It’s amazing how much aluminum and steel we import from Canada. It may hurt us but it will kill them…

Anyone seen where the 1.5 million customers using electricity from the 51st state are located?  I’m guessing parts of Michigan, Wisconsin and New York.

Thing is in a normal functioning Executive Branch, the experts would be able to explain why this is.  And anyone that of course will provide the answer he doesn’t like will get fired.

her star faded.  she's always been on the short-list, and her outbursts just before and after JT announced his future resignation, gave her a moment.. but that moment passed.  her time in the spotlight coincided with a period when americans were kinda paying attention to canada so she may have come across to you as bigger than she actually was.
