So many people depend on the post office that I have to wonder if openly destroying it is a good campaign strategy?
Anybody that goes regularly to a post office branch will see many people shipping small numbers of packages...These are eBay, Amazon, etsy, discogs etc sellers...people either a part of gig economy or supplementing their full time job income... Republicans, Democrats, independents...does openly threatening the livelihood of these people - who depend on the USPS - make sense as a campaign strategy? What about people that buy online and now have to wait longer to get their purchases because Trump is trying to destroy the USPS? Are they going to be happy?
The USPS is a backbone of a sector of the economy...openly destroying it during a recession will only increase the economic pain for everyone..
Seems shortsighted to me..
Republicans don’t vote by mail? Haven’t been voting by mail for decades? This whole thing just makes Trump look desperate... and like a loser
I think this is going to blow up in Trump’s face
