Trump vetoes defense bill, saying it "includes provisions that fail to respect our veterans and our military's history, and contradicts efforts by my Administration to put America first in our national security and foreign policy.
Calls it "gift" to China and Russia.

One of the reasons he cited was a provision in the bill to rename military bases after Confederate generals.

my MAGA FIL...all he wanted to talk about...Section 230 and how twitter was destroying the US and the gov't gave carte blanche specifically to Twitter and Facebook. He was convinced they were specifically named in the law(even though it was written in the 90s) and was really frustrated that you can't sue twitter for blocking you.

That was apparently a really big deal, you should be able to take twitter to court because you got banned there.

then started comparing it to Equal Opp type laws, ya know whereas a hotel owner you have to rent to black or Muslim people even if you didn't want to, why shouldn't Twitter have the same kind of rule.

after a while I was like: "Hey, I'm going to just go over there and work on that port wine cheese ball"

That Trump can get these guys twerked out on this topic is kinda scary...he wields some crazy under the radar power
Guy wouldn't know how to find Twitter if I paid him, but this is a crazy important topic that the gov't should be addressed right away

That’s so sad

They are grasping at anything to blame and whatever Trump says they instantly regurgitate

I just read Trump’s tweet about section 230 ten minutes ago!

I mean I think the consensus is that without social media Trump would not have won in 2016! First of all it allowed him to bypass more established media and control the narrative.....second  they had way less $ than HRC but by using Facebook they could micro target every loon (or Republican) fairly cheaply... Third you had the BOTs driving higher polling on instant polls post debates in the primaries...and spreading anti HRC conspiracy theories...This all fairly well established

And I mean after he was “elected”: nobody has EVER in history had more power on social media than Trump the past four years and it’s not even close

It’s like when Trump complains that FOX news cost him reelection... it’s like one wants to say you serious bro?

the correct analogy here is a hotel owner refusing to rent to someone after they shit all over the lobby.  everyone is allowed to stay at the hotel as long as they respect the hotel's rules.  if you don't like the hotel's rules, go somewhere else.  no one is forcing you to stay at that hotel.

Ossoff just raised $107 million in two months.
Goodness, I have to imagine this was good for the GA economy
Be interesting how to see how much revenue the state saw in the last 4 months. Gotta assume it was all spent and taxed in state

A specific rule about defecating in the lobby?  Would the rule be you can't destroy property and I can have you thrown out/refuse service for doing that even if you paid

Seems my favorite loony tune from MI is in a pot of boiling water...

Mellissa Carone, Giuliani’s star witness has received a cease and desist letter from Dominion! In the letter Dominion states that Mellissa overstated her position, because she was hired for 1 day.... TO CLEAN THE GLASS ON THE MACHINES!

do you think Mellissa will run for a House Seat or go straight for Whitmer in 2022?
She's quite the MAGA darling and just look at this pedigree

I think she has a bright future in signing autographs at gun shows.. she’ll probably get one legit CPAC appearance, followed by a couple stunt appearances and her career will be over

Well, I'm rooting for her, we need more comedy in our lives
I think gun show autographs is a step up from a temp job as a glass cleaner
and I bet she'll resurface in 2024
