So we basically live in a country where the person with less votes can win the election in part by breaking the law, and we can't do anything about it.

Great, just great.

The House Intelligence Committee announced on Friday that it will hold an open hearing on June 12 covering the "counterintelligence implications" of the Mueller report.

lefties are getting all excited about this, but my prediction is that this won't end well - certainly not with the "A-HA!" moment Dems are hoping for.  i wouldn't be surprised if he brings a copy of the report with him, and the only answers he provides are readings from the report.

there will be national TV coverage, nothing new will emerge, lefties will see their hopes melt away in front of them and will be left dejected and resigned to never getting Trump.  not a good place to end up.

nope, but i could see him saying "not in the report, so i don't have an answer for you."  the Dems are not going to sanction/fine/etc. Mueller, so he can say (or not say) whatever he wants.

Robert Mueller's Capitol Hill testimony    Date: Wednesday, July 24, 2019
    Times: 8:30 a.m. – House Judiciary Committee hearing;
              12:00 p.m. – House Intelligence Committee hearing

I'm not holding my breath...but maybe we'll uncover something not yet known

although this doesn't make me feel that hopeful
Democratic staff members of the committees say they anticipate "yes" or "no" answers from the former special counsel

Is president trump a crook?

Yes

"It is also shaping up as a risk for Democrats if the taciturn Mueller does not provide explosive testimony that could deal a blow to the President. The hearing seems just as likely to increase pressure from liberals on an unwilling House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to initiate impeachment hearings as it is to deflate Democrats' effort to severely damage Trump before the 2020 election."  (source)
