In all seriousness and this could possibly merrit its own thread. How's everyone's current mental health status?

I'd say I'm at about a 4.125/10 today... Definitely the worst I've felt over the past few weeks.

Not great but I always try to consider daily all that I'm grateful for, even when times are good. Like the fact that I'm physically well aside from the aches and pains of 52.

About a year ago I had some kind of respiratory illness which was mild to moderate during the day but was so bad at night that I felt like I was uncontrollably coughing my lungs up, and was having trouble breathing. Some nights I only slept a couple hours. Never a good might of sleep. Sleeping sitting up helped a little, but I'm not one who is typically able to sleep sitting up. And this went on for a few weeks. I definitely don't want to get anything like that, or worse, ever again.

I am pretty poor today actually and have slept poorly all week waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep..my issue is with   the horrible Trump response...thousands of people are going to die painfully in NYC and Trump and Republicans couldn’t care less. I am very upset by this...just as I am by all the Italians and Spanish people dropping dead (Argentina’s roots are mainly Italy - my family- and Spain mixed with European Jewry- my family) trying to stay away from FB

Forget 4 years. Are you better off now than you were 4 weeks ago?

Personally, hanging in there...my #coronabeard is coming in nice.  News is definitely stressing me more than it was before and the prospect of not getting out for a beer or a show is starting to sink in. I have a lot of people I'm close to in high risk groups...so that has me a little stressed out too

works been busy (I work in IT, so getting all my client's remote stuff up has been a full-time job) so been very distracted by that

Kids are starting to lose their shit tho, we are trying to limit them to only 9 hours of screen time a day and they are claiming we are running a prison.

DC of course got screwed by the GOP
@councilofdc
It. Was. Intentional.

From comments on the Senate floor last night, it appears that the decision to treat DC like a territory and give us $500 million, instead of treating us like a state and giving us $1.25 Billion, was deliberate.

D.C. residents pay federal taxes and there are more of us than Wyoming and Vermont -- and yet our city will receive 60% less funding than states ($500M compared to $1.25B)

broke 500,000 confirmed cases worldwide

Also, the US is in 3rd place, but from the looks of it, we might take out Italy and china this week

well, lets be clear that is just confirmed cases and we know that millions haven't been tested that surely are infected
also do we really trust China's (or even the US) numbers

Also you could have just said its 0.006% of the world pop

I don’t know...33,000 so far...not sure 100k by Mondayis really gonna happen

yup, didn't hit 100k... i think we're at 50k'ish, numbers are lower ("only" 46k) on https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ because they define a day as london time (GMT+0), but we continued to report cases during our day...

... but regardless, the US now has the third most cases in the world!  we've beaten spain and are gaining on italy - the silver is ours!

U - S - A ! ! !   U - S - A!!!   U - S - A!!!

WE'RE NUMBER ONE!  WE'RE NUMBER ONE!!!

there are no limits when you believe in yourself*!!!

(*and by "believe in yourself", i'm talking about trump - he clearly believed in himself and his ability to PR his way outta this one, and this is where it got us...)
