This is what an 80+% vaccination rate and a generally healthier population gets you.

I think you cherry picked that number
80% of all Swedes over the age of 50 have now received three vaccine doses.

More like too quickly skimmed than cherry picked.

Regardless, it's really getting the over 50 population vaxxed that's going to make the biggest difference in hospitallization rates and deaths.

Anyway, entire Sweden population 72.6% vaccinated, US is 64.1%

At what point to we stop calling someone who has two jabs but is not boostered "fully vaccinated?"

We have an obesity crisis in the US…. I would guess our poor health in general-more than vaccination rates- accounts for the disparity in deaths… we are fat and most people are on a bunch of crazy pills…

Not disagreeing, but i did read an article (can't remember where, sorry), saying that the weight and COVID outcome correlation was somewhat exaggerated. Meaning that until you got to the Americans who are "severely or morbidly obsese," outcomes weren't really that different. Unfortunately, we have too many morbidly obese people here (and those are the people for whom the correlation does become strong....though i can't remember the BMI where it does....it was ridiculously high.)

One thing interesting in the study I mentioned was that people in the "overweight" category, that is BMI of 25.0-29.9 (notably, me, lol) actually fared slightly better than the people in the "normal" 18.5-24.999999 range.

One of the best things about the last show I went to was knowing there weren't any unvaxxed rubes in the building...
