i've been positive for a few days now... had an outbreak in my family, everyone has or had it.  nothing serious, it's just like a lingering cold.  i'm ready to be rid of this bug.

(don't worry, i put a mask on before i post on this board...)

Getting my second booster Saturday. I'll probably be sicker from the vaccine than you guys who actually have COVID.

if it's anything like my current experience with the actual disease, it's about the same: tired, runny nose, mild body aches, and a general desire to be done with this.

Convalesce! Whappen?
Covid…
Was it bad? You are vaccinated and boosted?
I kept up with vax, but didn't get the second round of boosting
I did get on Paxlovid same day as my positive test, I'm not 100% sure of it's impact, but that I'm feeling good Tuesday from starting on Thursday may point that it was effective at stopping it from progressing?
But I will say that biden's Test to Treatment plan worked exactly as promised (although I was coached to say I was previous smoker because I might not have been eligible due to age and good health)

I was sweating/aching/head throbbing for about 4 days, most of it spent on two couches (one in a screened in porch...highly recommended) Was kinda of a blur as I spent a lot of it sleeping or fading in and out of sleep
light sensitivity was an issue, so tv/computers were avoided for the first part
almost zero breathing/lung issues (thankfully)

Feeling much better this morning, wouldn't say 100%, but good enough for gov't work as they say
aches are gone, headache is gone, fog is gone
shitty taste in my mouth, still here.   a little bit like orange juice and Duracell.  Found that sour patch kids work well on this, but no cure

Overall I'd give it a 2 stars as a personal sickness, no where near as bad as the impacted molar or kidney stones
I guess thankfully I was in good shape prior and had access to therapeutics. I hear that this variant is mild compared to the first round

Still a little bitter about missing the ScooteGate reunion weekend, but in the scheme of things, not that big a deal

I'm at a professional conference out of town this week, and brought some COVID tests wtih me because I feel crappy and have cold like symptoms. But after reading your report, figured I'll just save the test. I must just have a cold.

But I'll wear a mask to prevent spreading my cold (and give myself the added COVID protection.)

I swear I already ordered a third batch, but they haven''t come yet.

My wife had the same symptoms a couple of days ago. And she tested negative.I think I just have what she had.

I was at a wedding in Hawaii over Memorial Day weekend.  Of the 16 people in the wedding party, 9 of them got covid.  The other 7 had already had it (omicron, not delta) and didn't get it again.  Nobody had anything more than mild symptoms, but appreciated a few extra days in Hawaii.

i've been testing positive for over a week now.  i'm over the flu-like symptoms, other than a very occasional need to blow my nose or cough.  definitely have some brain-fog tho, and it's annoying.  no matter how many cocaine orgies i attend it's hard to concentrate.  and the only member of my family that didn't get it, my son, tested positive yesterday and is now home from school.  he's really bummed because he'll miss being in the end-of-year play and he had a big part... on the upside, we may have prevented another actor.

they are really overrated and don't live up to the hype

.  and the only member of my family that didn't get it, my son, tested positive yesterday and is now home from school.
I have a tremdous pangs of guilt, as my youngest daughter got illl on Friday right after me and she had this High Tea (not that kind of High) party she had been looking forward to for a month, had a dress and all sorts of accoutrements....crushed
