Why are so few people getting the latest Covid-19 vaccine?
What good is a miraculous vaccine if nobody wants to take it?

It's a good question. Why haven't you gotten yours yet?

I got mine back in October. I assume I am representative of the rest of the population.

But so far this year, just 14 percent of adults have received a dose of the new vaccine formulation that became available in September ó compared to 28 percent who have gotten a flu shot.

I got both shots 2 weeks ago.

How do you know?

Because that's when I got the shot, and when I tested positive.

But you could have been asymptomatic, right?

I am in an age range where getting COVID and being asymptomatic is about a 25% possibility. So yes, it is possible that I could have had it asymptomatically. I haven't knowingly had COVID since August 2022.

So you canít really say you didnít have itÖand even if asymptomatic I donít think you would be able to say you had no effects from itÖyou might just not know or the effects could show up later.

Itís pretty much impossible to know.

Anyways I am glad you are doing well but I knew a lot of people getting it just a few months ago. Itís important to recognize oneís own experience doesnít in itself mean anything in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not fighting anything. I'm pro-choice. You want the vaccine, go for it. Someone else doesn't, go for that.
