Yeah, but will you buy the album?

NEWSFLASH:  Nobody "buys" albums anymore.  Even the Covid inspired surge of album sales by bored indie dad rockers ended when the restrictions eased.  Album sales are back to losing ~9% per year, a trend that has been going on for over 20 years.

Or look at it this way:  TS sold 1,578,000 units of midnights in the first week of which 1.14 million were pure sales, including 575,000 vinyl LPs and 395,000 CDs (the rest digital purchase, cassettes).  Compare that to Midnights (the album) garnering 549.26 million streams in its first week.

I'm so confused. You're saying Julian is going to borrow my mom's stream?

cave world Deluxe released with 4 new tracks
https://www.stereogum.com/2210370/stream-four-new-viagra-boys-tracks-from-cave-world-deluxe/music/

In this time of strife, insanity and confusion, only one band is depraved enough to offer themselves up as herald. Like sin-eaters if sins had to be ingested from a very small spoon, Viagra Boys have consumed the utterly incomprehensible chaos of our era and distilled it into  16 immaculate tracks of post-truth-cow-funk-kraut-wave-enlightenment.
