Michelle Zauner's (aka Japanese Breakfast) memoir Crying in H Mart is well worth the read, especially if you're into Korean food.  It's a beautifully written homage to her late mother as she remembers the food they shared together over the years.  The descriptions are so vivid you can taste the dishes.  Though very tender and sad at times, she interjects references to Maangchi videos to lighten the tone.
Zauner does cover the progression of her music career, but it's not the main focus.

I didn't know that was the same person! I've heard great things about it. Can't bring myself to read it yet.

It is! There's a short essay and photographs for every song he's ever written. The wikipedia entry is a bit more detailed than what's in the book, but you've probably already read it. I didn't realize that Jimmy Scott and Desmond Decker were involved in the song's DNA.

looks interesting, you know I love when the author is the narrator
audio only, sorry Hutch

Eddie Vedder’s I Am Mine audiobook is a reflection on a life at the intersection of art, sensitivity, masculinity, and ascendent pop/rock-super stardom that defined an age.

Currently reading Child psychology : a very short introduction, and it has this funny passage:

For example, one set of experiments used a mildly scary mechanical robot called 'Magic Mike'. The experiment used a joint attention setting, in which mothers were trained to look either frightened or happy when Magic Mike appeared.

Beginning this present I got for my birthday…it’s a great gift..something I want but would not buy for myself until I found it second hand for a few bucks

If you ever seen Grohl live you know it’s one story after another…sometimes almost to a fault!
