apparently, part of the answer lies in the fact that some voter registrars were paid based on the number of votes they bring in.  instead of hitting the pavement, they sit at home and fill in form after form with fake names.

so it's not a huge left-wing conspiracy to stuff the ballot boxes, it's some shmoe's getting paid while not doing his job.  one would have hoped that there was some sort of quality control, tho... if hundreds of forms have the exact same signature, you'd think someone should notice that before they bring them to the elections committee.

I don't know why this isn't plainly obvious to anyone who bothers to ponder this for a moment.  Do they really think some schmuck is going to stroll into the local polling place and say "I'm Mickey Mouse and I'm here to vote!"

It's pretty suspicious that last night McCain brings up ACORN and today the FBI announces an investigation.

If ACORN were actually endeavoring to commit fraud, one would imagine they wouldn't be using obviously fake names, but rather real-sounding names.  It seems more likely that Republican operatives trying to sabotage voter registration would submit names like "Mickey Mouse."

Well, ACORN canvassers actually did register the entire roster of the Dallas Cowboys in Las Vegas; those are all real-sounding names.  ACORN actually registered a real 8 year old girl in Connecticut.  ACORN actually registered the same guy 73 times.

Maybe it's the same people who used the names "Doodad Pro" and ??Jgtj Jfggjjfgj? to   donate to the Obama campaign.
